(University of West Attica, Athens) – Participation in the Greek Workshop of Interreg MED within the PRISMI project

As part of the PRISMI project (Promoting RES Integration for Smart Mediterranean Islands), funded by the Interreg-MED Program, CRES participated in the Greek Workshop organized by the University of West Attica in collaboration with CRES.
The workshop, titled “Sustainable Energy and Water Solutions in Island Communities”, was held on April 23, 2018, at the facilities of the University of West Attica, within the framework of the Clean Energy in European Islands Conference. The project coordinator of “Agios Efstratios – Green Island”, Mr. Panagiotis Zorlos, presented the topic “High Penetration of RES in Autonomous Islands: The Case of Agios Efstratios”, emphasizing the importance of the legislative framework, environmental impacts, and the significance of local community consent for implementing such energy projects.
