The workshop on the project “Ai Stratis – Green Island” was successfully held on Friday, 27 February 2026, as part of the Verde.tec Forum 2026. The event brought together representatives from public authorities, wind energy companies/investors, the scientific community, and other stakeholders, fostering a constructive dialogue around this flagship initiative, which aspires to serve as a model of sustainable development and energy transition.
As part of the 8th Verde.Tec International Exhibition, theGreek Green Awards 2026 were also held, aiming to recognize organizations, local authorities, and companies that have applied scientific knowledge and technological innovation in the service of environmental protection.
The selection of the winners was carried out by a specialized scientific committee, which evaluated the nominations based on innovation, sustainability and positive environmental impact.
The project “Ai Stratis – Green Island” was distinguished in the “Strategic Planning” category, receiving the Special Award for “Promotion of Green Technologies”, highlighting its innovative approach and its impactful contribution to sustainable development.
